THERE'S SNOW PLACE LIKE GREENBANK

If you’re like the Everleigh team, you may find yourself feeling a little … Santa-mental at this time of year. We find the best remedy is to dive head-first into all things Christmas! So here’s your handy list of seasonal celebrations happening in Greenbank and beyond this month.

THE GIFT OF GIVING

Nothing gets you more in to the Christmas spirit, than the joy of helping others in need. So consider contributing to the Cityhope Care's Hampers of Hope Christmas Appeal, by donating some non-perishable Christmas treats, tinned food and toiletries.

The aim of this year’s Appeal is to fill a thousand hampers to give to local families doing it tough at the moment.  Donations can be dropped off to Customer Service at Orion Springfield by Wednesday December 18.

JINGLE ALL THE WAY

If carols are what gets you feeling really Christmas-sy, there are plenty of opportunities to catch a few tunes this month.

The City of Logan Christmas Carols are being held at Griffith University’s Logan Campus on Saturday the 14th of December, with live performances and pop-up food trucks. Take your picnic gear and head there from 4.30pm to snag the best viewing spots.

Australia’s ‘King of Swing’, Craig Martin, is performing a slew of Christmas hits with swing flair at Logan Entertainment Centre on December 20. Think Christmas songs and carols recorded by iconic artists like Frank Sinatra, Elvis and Dean Martin. Tickets start from $22 each.

KIDS CHRISTMAS FUN

Pub Lane Tavern is putting on a Christmas Party – just for the kids – on Friday December 13.

From midday there’ll be games and activities, a snow cone machine and kids even eat free.

COMBINING BOOKS AND CRAFT

Greenbank Library’s hosting festive fun for the whole family from December 17-18.

Toddlers and preschoolers can enjoy a Christmas-themed story time with Santa as a very special guest, while children aged 9 and up are invited to create their own decorations in an afternoon of craft.

Greenbank locals of all ages can enjoy some family Christmas craft and make their own wind chime and 3D reindeer – the perfect additions to your home decorations!

PAW-FECT HOLIDAY PICS

Bring the whole family along to meet Santa and capture the moment forever, with Christmas photos running at Orion Springfield right up to Christmas Eve.

Every child who visits will get their own special gift from ol’ Saint Nick, and your fur-babies don’t have to miss out either, with special pet photos on every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night.

STROLL THE TWILIGHT MARKETS

Orion Springfield is also home to special Twilight Markets on Monday December 23, celebrating all things Christmas.

Kicking off from 9am, you can browse the market stalls, fill up from the food vans and enjoy the live music on offer, with pop-up shops set up all along Main Street.

The event coincides with Springfield Orion’s special midnight trading hours, so you can explore at your leisure.
