Everleigh in 2022: School, sunshine and sport

It’s thrilling to watch the Everleigh community evolve and grow year by year — and we’re all set to celebrate more remarkable milestones here in 2022. From the opening of Everleigh State School to first bounce at our new AFL grounds and a full line-up of events and activities for residents and locals alike, there is plenty to love and look forward to here in the heart of Greenbank.

Everleigh AFL Oval

Everleigh State School

Greenbank’s new state primary school, Everleigh State School, is located in the centre of Everleigh on Ivory Parkway. Opening on Monday, February 7, 2022, the school will welcome local students from Prep to Year 6.

Foundation principal, Nicole Wheatley, says her vision for the school is ‘Excellence through Equity’. “This vision will ensure that every student who attends receives the support and resources they need to be successful, life-long learners.”

For more information on enrolments and school updates, please follow the Everleigh State School Facebook Page or visit the website.

Everleigh Nature Festival

Soak up the last of summer with Everleigh’s Nature Festival. Part of developer Mirvac Residential’s national Summer Festival series, the Greenbank Nature Festival will celebrate local flora and fauna through an exciting afternoon of activities and workshops. The festival will be held at Everleigh Park in March. Be sure to reserve your free tickets via the Enriching Communities Eventbrite link

The Nature Festival is just one of the many Everleigh events organised and run by our community engagement team, Enriching Communities Greenbank. Be sure to follow Suzanne, Jade and the team via their Facebook page to stay updated on free community events and activities like group fitness classes, after school sports and fortnightly coffee catch-ups. There is also a quarterly gardening competition to inspire the green thumbs of Everleigh!

Everleigh AFL Oval

Everleigh’s $10 million full-size AFL field and warm-up oval will be ready for first bounce in late 2022, adding further sporting and recreational grounds to our existing Everleigh and Leaf parklands.

Everleigh AFL Oval will be a first for Division 11 of Logan City Council and Councillor Natalie Willcocks says it will help support local players and the region’s growing population. “The addition of new sporting fields, and eventually a sporting precinct, will increase opportunities for residents to access a range of new facilities that will promote active and healthy lifestyles,” says  Cr Willcocks.

“It’s great knowing that the facility is coming soon to the Division, and I can’t wait for the first bounce!”

Upcoming land releases

A mini building boom is now underway at Everleigh, with more than 150 homes under construction – and dozens more due to start shortly – joining the 165 households already completed and occupied.

Our next (limited!) land release is expected in February and will be conducted via ballot following extraordinary demand for our homesites over the last 12 months. We encourage any buyers interested in purchasing at Everleigh in 2022 to register now to be first to hear of releases and project updates. Simply enter your details here or visit our sales office at 56 Kessels Boulevard between 10am and 5pm daily.
